The only thing I do to make it have a bit of vitality and spontaniety, is that,I time myself as if I am working form life and that helps the work to have a cohesive alla-prima effect that works done over time might lack.

Andrea, it is hard to see this online, because the work has been sacled down a bit but the acrylic came in handy with the use of a impasto gel for renderring the highlights around the movement of people and textures of the red lightings around the theatre. It creates a kind of 3D feel and helps break up the 2D work surface-thereby creating interest and contrast against the light washes of watercolour and flat opaque washes of gouache.adebanjihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12832505675979297771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8549245502102517403.post-36527289358990732542009-07-03T14:08:54.847+01:002009-07-03T14:08:54.847+01:00cool, can you explain better how did you use the a...cool, can you explain better how did you use the acrylic?
I'm interessed :)Andrea Longhihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14119670723284316837noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8549245502102517403.post-43959602335433963282009-07-03T13:12:15.424+01:002009-07-03T13:12:15.424+01:00do you work on the spot with paint or work from sk...do you work on the spot with paint or work from sketches or photos with these?

I really like your night time paintings - the light is caught perfectly and the buzz of humanity bustling by.vivienhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16820836660470146799noreply@blogger.com
