Sketches on the train/tube in July XVI

Masculine features are structured angled and profound. Sometimes I see a man, his cheek bones are beautiful and the shade his jawline casts around his neckline is amazing! Hmmmmmm OOOOH for the love of sketching!!!!!!!!!!

Arte y Pico

Thanks Silvina for nominating me!

Arte y Pico is a blog from Uruguay who's blogger has come up with this award. It is being passed from blog to blog and is a nice way of telling a fellow artist that you like their work. Arte y Pico, loosely translated from Spanish to English means "The Best Art" or "Over the Top".

Now it is my turn to choose 5 artists to bestow the notorious feathered statuette on.

Nathan Fowkes, for his poweful ability to handle watercolour and charcoal like I have never seen before!
Karen Jurick, for her passion and desire to keep painting those wonderful miniatures of day to day life in amazing, blazing colours!
Katherine Tyrell, for her simple mission of presenting to us, artists, everything we ever wanted to know about the art world!
Charlie Parker, for presenting to us the lives of many hidden master artists, we would never have discovered anywhere else!
Neil Campbell Ross, for his ability to compose simple shapes and colours into master works of Illustrative beauty!

If you've already gotten this award, please dismiss this one, but know that I think you deserve it.
If you are too busy painting (like all productive artists should be) to post this and choose 5 others, I understand.

If you choose to accept, here are the rules:
Pick five blogs you really like for their creativity, design, interesting material, and for contributing to the blogging community.
Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.
Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given him or her the award.
The award winner and the one who has given the award have to show the link Arte y Pico blog so that one and all will know the origin of this award.

WELSH LANDSCAPE V watercolour studies

This is the final one I did. This was my best view yet! Just pure undefiled landscape. Its here you can really appreciate the beauty of God's creative power and beauty! This one was very small again for approximately one hour.

There were even sheep grazing and bleating, birds singing ohhh I'm lost for words!

WELSH LANDSCAPES III and IV watercolour studies

These two were done from my room window. The sun was blazing and It was so hot I couldn't bear to go out. I also wanted to avoid the wonderful kids who would all crowd round if I went directly outside. Again its one hour for each study. I really enjoy this. it is actually the first time I work on landscapes constantly for 3 days going. This may be a new chapter opening in my life!

WELSH LANDSCAPE II watercolour studies

This was a very foggy morning. I go right back to the spot I was yesterday. I see these trees, they look brilliant! The darks between them are rich and the light seeping through is mysterious I love it. One hour again! I almost kill this one because the light kept and changing and I was tempted to keep changing the colours.

WELSH LANSCAPE I watercolour studies

This was my first attempt at the landscapes. I'll climb the hills to find a spot that seems great! It is a dull morning but the greens were beautiful. This one takes approximately one hour. I decide not to work for more than one hour, just to keep the work s fresh and spontaneous.

Back from Wales

I had a wonderful time at Wales. It was a great time for spiritual refreshment and I must say I am revived. It was a great opportunity for me to get closer to JESUS, my LORD and Saviour. He has done so much for me and I am buzzing once more!

I didn't sketch people but I did some watercolours of the beautiful Welsh landscapes. I'll be posting them with some comments.

Every morning before the services start I went armed with my easel, sketch pad, watercolours and white acrylic.
