"Contemplation II" (DSFDF Portrait Swap), her version of me, Graphite, 2009

Adebanji by Emilie

I almost thought I was going to belong to the 'singles' who didn't have faithful partners, but I was so shocked to see my old head pop up on the dsfdf site.
Lucky enough for those singles Karin Jurick filled in the gap and has painted the missing ones HERE. Her paintings are just wonderful!

Emilie Guderian, the artist who I drew below, has rendered a powerful portrait in my favourite medium, I just love it!!!

Emilie by Adebanji

She hasn't got a link to a website or blog. Hope she sees this post and we can connect.

.....and for those of you who thought my nose wasn't growing bigger....check the piece above, it is the truth, there's no going back!

She did an awesome job, too! Also so cool that you both used graphite. Fantastic portraits.

Wow , The portrait she did of you is truly fabulous also. It fits you so well. On some of us I wonder if Karin tried to match us ? but I don't think she had the time. But God matched us, yes !
BTW if you e-mail Karin she will give you Emilie's e-mail that is what I did since my artist did not have a blog either.

No, your nose did not grow... lol !

They are both fantastic. She must have been scared silly to do a drawing of the "Master"

Hey this is Emilie. Sorry I don't have a blog or website up quite yet- new years resolution maybe. I had a great time with this exchange! I enjoyed your drawing and am happy to see you liked mine. My email is emilieguderian@gmail.com if you want to shoot me a message.

She captured your quiet strength. You were able to render a wonderfully rendered portrait of someone who is most likely thrilled to have you draw her!

Your portrait by Emilie is captivating as is your portrait OF Emilie. I appreciated it all the more after seeing her photo compared to your drawing. And I so enjoyed the other paintings you shared on your site. It's through vehicles like this that artist finally get the exposure they deserve! You are so generous to share your space to highlight others. And I noticed you are also a fan of Thomas Blackshear! His paintings are so amazing.

This is a wonderful portrait of you, Adebanji, no wonder you're pleased! Mind you, the poor lady had her work cut out having to tackle that HUGE nose of yours! ;) Now really, your nose is in perfect proportion to the rest of your face so quit angsting about it - Pinocchio! Hehe.
