Josh in Sleep Mode VII, Carbon Pencil, A3 sketch Pad, 2009

Yesterday, Josh and I played indoor football after he had his supper. Then he requested to watch "Stuart Little"-While watching the little mouse he went into sleep mode..........I quickly grabbed my sketching kit before he moved into another gear. When he moved I had to get him changed, with a bedside prayer and another day is gone!

This was done only with carbon pencil, a lot of rubbing with fingers and stumps!

  1. aaaaah... what a sweet angel. I love using my fingers too. I just have to remember not to touch my face or else I look like I've been burrowing through the dirt.

  3. If you have any babywipes left over, I like to keep them around for a quick clean up for carbon and paint.

  9. This sketch makes me smile- (I have two boys) I am ashamed to say that I do not do this enough- while they are young. One day Josh will have something special from his daddy. Nice job! -Tom
