I'm currently still Painting Dory, but I have also got another life painting going at the moment. I met this model at the RP exhibition last year. The first thing that drew me to her then was her long natural hair! I gained the courage to ask if she would like to model after observing and she agreed to sit for a life painting. That never materialised since last April until yesterday, she had been busy and now that she had spare time, I could start.
I got three hours done yesterday and she was great at modelling, very professional. She is also an artist too and artists somehow know what it takes to be a good model.
I have started in oils, on a 20" x 24" linen canvas.
Hope to get more sittings done soon!
Man... do your talents never cease? Every medium in the book it seems. Maybe a local art store should sponsor you. Show them how many visitors and then have an icon they can click and connect with them. You get paid for every visit to their site from yours.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE when artists post in progress. I always learn so much and I can already tell Diana is going to be DELIGHTFUL!
Thanks for linking to Dory! I wasn't blogging until December and had not seen this gem of a paint you posted in November. You are a modern day master.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheila, great idea!!!

Sheila thanks so much for taking time to comment!
ReplyDeleteI've just found your blog, what amazing work!
ReplyDeleteI am very inspired, thank you for sharing your talent! I am somewhat of a beginner in watercolor. I've been drawing every day for almost 2 years and it's coming along-my favorite is the face, too. I'll keep checking in to your blog for continued inspiration.
