This is entry into Karin Juricks DSFDF. It was a beach scene and my main model Josh had to be employed again but this time a picture from his much younger days.
Here he lands on beachland a new experience for him and his toys...........what next? You decide......anything is possible in a kids world!
This was done in acrylic, coloured biros, wax crayons, coloured pencils and tom bow brush pen wash markers on a gessoed mount board.
Wow - I love this! And what a great use of the whole cabinet of art supplies:) Always an inspiration you are.

ReplyDeleteAdebanji,
ReplyDeletethere are not too many artists who do paintings of little boys (so menay concentrate on little girls).
Maybe consider it as a nitch for yourself? (to sell your work, that is). My sketches are quite simple in comparison to yours, but some people like the sketches more than my paintings! Do you have the same experience?
Please visit my blog, because I like to know your opinion about some possible steps I need/can take. Thanks, Jeannette!
Thanks Jeannette, I'll give this a good thought.
ReplyDeleteSo many people love my sketches than my paintings, I love sketching more than painting, so I am not surprised. If I had the choice and the way, and the ability, I would just draw, draw, draw, but people love colour! So sometimes I have thought of painting in black and white, or doing some seriously tonal paintings. I guess I am still exploring myself and discovering what I really have.
I'll check out your site right now.
Adebanji, leave it to you to come up with something totally unique and beautiful. I love the electricity in the air, the sound waves and gorgeous colours.
ReplyDeleteThanks Vern! You've said it all!
ReplyDeleteThis is marvelous! What a wonderful/beautiful visual history of Josh you're collecting.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheila! Yes they are piling up!
ReplyDeleteYou are truly creative. I love to see how you will interpret the DFDS challenge.
ReplyDeleteThanks Victoria!
ReplyDeleteI can't come up with anything someone hasn't already written, just that this such an imaginative, creative, and beautiful painting. Love the bright and vivid colors.
