Kezia in Sleepmode XI, Graphite, Sketchbook, 2010




This is number 11 in my current series of sketches to record the life and growth during sleep of my baby daughter, Kezia. This afternoon she drifted in her buggy in the sun and cool breeze.

    Precious and lovely! I noticed you are using less pencil strokes than before but with more value, interesting.

    Thanks Victoria, good observation. I had so many pencil strokes on this drawing but before she moved, I decided to smudge them in, to quickly get the overall tone of some passages.
