Adebanji on painting 23-Avoiding the unpredictable weather from YMCA
Adebanji on painting 24-Here at night, a guy watched me in the cold for about 90 minutes, he was freezing and so was I. But this guy endured the cold to watch the painting unfold, he said he had never seen anything like it, he even went to sit on the bench near the lights for him to be included in the picture, he really wanted to be part of the painting. Never have I had a stranger get so wrapped up in watching me paint-unbelievable! He asked where the exhibition would be taking place and promised to buy this picture and tell everyone, he is even in it!
Super COOL Adebanji !
ReplyDeleteI am very sorry that I didn't meet you in Bath this year. I was there earlier in the month, and the weather was absolute perfect. I did get a chance to paint one small plein air work, but knew nothing of the Bath prize at that time. Hope to meet you in England one day. Debra
ReplyDeleteWow, cool to meet such enthusiastic people eh? If that first painting took only 3 hours (god knows I spend way more time achieving much less), I think it would be really cool if you could do speedpainting at some point.
ReplyDeleteWhat I mean is something like this. It's a really great way for people to see a painting come to life, and I'd especially like to see your methods if you can capture a scene like that in just 3 hours!
Thanks Alice!
ReplyDeleteCheers Debra, you can still take part in the Bath Prize.
Yes that's cool Oliver, I hope to start some video recording too!
Incredible you've done this. congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteHope the guy does show up to see the show and purchase his special painting!
These are beautiful. Your passion and dedication is an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThanks Israel!
