Sketches on the bus train and tube in July III

More Sketches. All done on public transport with the spirit to capture what is right there before me. It's fun! It's an experience on it's own!

  1. I really like the life in all of your sketching. I am also a pencil protrait artist and you have really inspired me to sketch more. Something I have not done alot of. I usually go staight to the portrait and a finished product. I am going to make a goal to enjoy sketching more and if it is OK, I think I will show my students examples from your work to encourage them to sketch more as well. I'm glad to see you have visited my website at www.hismanyfaces.com

I'll be more than happy if you show your students my sketches, that's what this blog is all about!
    Really like your work too!

  3. Great idea! You've got a wide and varied selection of models to choose from every day. have you had any of the "sitters" come over and have a look at your sketching yet?

  4. Thanks Steve! I have had loads of people come over. For instance, those 3 girls in the last sketch were friends and they knew all the while I was sketching them. When they were about to get off one of the asked if she could take a picture of it on her phone, her request was granted!
It's pure fun and addictive too!

  6. Really love your work, it makes me want to post my sketches on my own blog. It's a little bit of magic to see inside an artists sketchbook and I am glad we get the opportunity to get a glimpse at your work.

  7. Thanks Kathy! Please post your sketches-they reveal more about us as artists than anything other finished work we do.

  10. Hi Adebanji, I've just found your blog. These sketches are brilliant and I love your paintings too. Takes me back to when I lived in Clapham and Brixton years ago. All the best, Paul.
