Sketches on the train(London Bridge to Woolich Arsenal)

I was on the train yesterday and spotted this girl, fair and had golden hair and a black top on. All the guys behind me were watching the progress and I just kept at the job, listening to my music and viola! I got one of my best shots...........

Sketches on the train (Sidcup--)

I think I got on the wrong train and it was useless I would have to go all the way to Dartford via Sidcup before I could get back on track to Belvedere. So since the journey would take longer I spotted this lady at the back seat of the train and since I was in good position I got the best of her features before she got off.

Sketches on the tube and train

These are a few sketches I made on the tube last week, I particularly fell in love with the 2nd and 3rd couple on the tube on Saturday- they looked terrific! I regret wasting time before I made my decision to sketch but all along I was observing thier features, they spoke french they were simply amazing!

me in my studio space

The studio space to any artist is a sacred space! This is my little space.

NANA Lawson

This woman is inspirational I have decided to paint her on her 60th birthday! She is the one one who takes care of all new born babies in my church and she also is the chief cleaner in my church. Her ministry in outstanding. Her faithfulness is admirable.
God bless her.
I had to finish this under 4 days to meet the deadline for this saturday when her grandchildren would present it to her.

Kimberly

This is Kimberly, my friend Dave at work kept being on my neck to sketch him the only recent picture he had of his daughter- to put in his room wall. So on Thursday last week with a sanguine coloured pencil I sketched it without grids in 2 hours ! He was really pleased with it!

Sketches on the train (Elephant and Castle to Clapham Common)

This woman was dresed in one of those traditional wears the Asian women put on. I couldn't resist. I also didn't want to get into trouble with her husband who was on my side. So I had to do it with the "hide and seek technique "- watch his movements in the window reflecting his image in front of me without turning my head. I was quite pleased with the result. She was busy reading an Asian magazine.

Sketch on the train (NottinghillGate to Earls Court)

She was right in front of me but my confidence soared. Sometimes you take big risks when you are addicted to sketching, I had to take one this time I took the bull by the horn while listening to music.

Sketch on the train (Greenwich to Abbey Wood)

On my way back from work yesterday night I had to stand up, With my sketch pad in hand I made one sketch of a woman standing then when I had the opportunity to sit down I sketched this lad in front of me. He has some interesting features and I enjoyed the feel of the conte I used as I normally use biros this was a change for me. I showed him on his way out at Abbbey Wood, he looked a bit stunned!
