My Sketches at the First Urban Sketchers Exhibition

Currently running since the 16th of August till the 6th of October, 2012 is The First Urban Sketchers International Exhibition at Ackland Musuem at the University of North Carolina. A lot of the members from all over the world submitted sketches for this exhibition.

A majority of the proceeds from the sale of the sketches will go directly to Urban Sketchers to support their educational programs such as the annual Sketching Symposium and the Urban Sketchers Workshops Program. The remaining proceeds will support the Ackland Art Museum.

I contibuted 3 sketches for the exhibition and they were mainly based on monuments and statues in London.

Sketches on the tube, train and bus in March III (And some great news)

These are some recent sketches I have done on public transport. I am also happy to introduce you to the New blog-Urban Sketchers London, and also The New Book The Art of Urban Sketching in which I am featured (I think the first Print has already sold out, so they are in the process of a second print-that's why the amazon price is a bit expensive at the moment). Also I have a short 7 minute video that shows how I go about sketching on public transport, I am also recording this at the same time I am sketching so it's a bit fussy but I hope you enjoy the whole process.

Sketches on the train in November I -Happy 1st Birthday to Urban Sketchers!

More sketches of people. Keeping my eyes and hands focused in co-ordination training- I think one of the hardest things to do is to fight ones brain and actually sketch what one sees. There's never a comfortable ground in sketching!



I'm also using this opportunity to congratulate Urban Sketchers on their 1st Birthday this week.



Urban Sketchers has really been a great encouragement for me! Just looking at all those sketchers out there doing just one thing-SKETCHING-is incredible! Hope to see more and more of this fantastic group. Click HERE for my contributions so far to this dynamic group!
