These are two drawings I did of my boy Josh, in Graphite on a very weak Cartridge paper, He had just started crawling and I wanted to catch those akward movements he was used too and sometimes stopping and giving up. It was kind of experimental.I used the graphite in a watercolour way, by grinding the stick to powder and using a brush to paint from pictures I took of him.
One of the drawings was exhibited at the Pastel Society this year at the Mall Galleries.
Both of these drawings are included in a book called "Strokes of a Genius" which has drawings from 100 artists worldwide. This book is published by Northlight Books in August 2007
