Thanks jgr! I am happy you love my sketches. I love doing these sketches too. Today when doing these ones some people saw me and they were impressed!
I didn't get to show the guy or girl I sketched, but other people who saw the guy and looked at what I was doing somehow felt amazed! Now, I really enjoy that bit of buzz and also sometimes it gets me talking to people I never would have expected to talk to in my life!
the old men is just great what a expression comes from is face and when you look close is just some pencil lines with different degrees of mark, the light colour is it a brush or a marker ?
Thanks Isabel, his expression was one of the things that attracted me to him, moreover I like men with beards as they always make interesting characters!
I have used a bic biro for all the lines and a tombow brush marker (number 75) for the tones. I have put a link to this post now that shows the materials I have used here. Hope this helps.
Your sketches are a source of inspiration! Hey Adebanji, I am giving you an Art Blog Award. Cut & paste from mine. You deserve it. If you choose to, list 7 things you love and then list 7 fellow bloggers. Then notify the 7 that they have received awards.
I know Dominique! He is the kind of man I'll just want to pose for me all day long, I didn't get much detail to develop a graphite drawing, as this sketch lasted for only 9 mins or so but I might try a transformation of it in my other blog to colour.
I'm addicted to your blog! Just can't get enough of your sketches. They have helped to inspire me in my own efforts. I love this one of the old gentleman on the bus but it's hard to pick a favourite because they're all so impressive.

Came over from Larry Roibal's site--I agree--your sketches are marvelous! Wonderful!
Thanks very much "A Brush with Color" for taking time to view them!
i Love your old man here I would love to see a more developed graphite piece done of him. He is so beautiful.
