Study of Laurence, 17" x 13", Gouache.
I met this wonderful girl in London at Abbey Wood Bus station. I later got talking with her and she agreed to have me paint or sketch her. This study is done in Goauche with a few hints of grey tombow wash pens and pastel.

Vibrant and moody portrait. Beautiful!
I noticed that you are a Thomas Blackshear fan. I had the great pleasure of seeing in person both of the paintings you show here.
I saw his work in Southern California near Los Angeles. I was accepted into the Let There Be Light exhibit and Blackshear was in the exhibit as well. It was an honor to be included in a show with artists of his caliber. Had to be God's favor.
The Let There Be Light exhibit is about bringing fine art into the Christian arena and glorifying God with our gift. This was the first exhibit.
I see that you already found my post about the Conference. I wanted to let you know to look in the March archives on my blog. Under the title Artist's Reception you'll see a little peek of Thomas Blackshear and Tim Solliday conversing in the background.
The painting I entered is in the November archive. The title is Knowing.
