Josh having breakfast with BOB, 50 x 60cm, oil on linen, 2008

I have always wanted to do an ALLA PRIMA piece of Josh and just forget whether good or bad and this one I did yesterday made me glad, even though I had problems with his exact resemblance!

Its Josh having breakfast with BOB- oil on linen and sweat------no more no less!

And here is the "gutty-watty" palette

It's really lovely! I like the atmosphere created by the golden light on the floor and the shadows in the rest of the room... and the bold, vivid red yellow and blue of the toys and clothes. You managed to catch a lovely moment with your child, your picture is telling us a story...

Beautiful! That's fantastic you could get him to sit still for you. I agree, the colors and lighting are great!

Ah! He hasn't got to the stage where he can sit still yet, a 3 year old - he is too full of energy- so what I did was to paint it direcly from an LCD screen. Thanks, but I timed myself and put my self under the same conditions as if I was painting form life.
