Ornamented With Sushi, 5.5" x 8", Graphite on paper, 2009

This is my entry into Karin Juricks DSFDF,.

I have been so busy I had to get this one done on the train, tube and bus stops today to meet the deadline.

I hate to miss the fun, so I am just happy I have something to join those wonderful pieces on the DSFDF site.

I have no explanation for this piece, just wanted a twist to the sushi.

I LIKE IT! The thoughts of other riders in the bus, train etc. might be worthy of a blog of it's own. :-)

Warm regards,

Ken B.

Great interpretation to the challenge. You've made it all your own--a lovely drawing with great humanity.

What an imagination you have! I always look forward to seeing your next DSFDF Challenge. I wonder if I could draw a picture of my son or daughter from memory. I bet it would be hard but not for you I'm sure. Wonderful work, Adebanji!

A very nice twist indeed! Works well on several levels. I always love seeing what you come up with. (And I hear you're quite the tour guide, too!)

Wonderfully creative! I love the way the Sushi sneaks up on you. At first glace it looks like a beautiful African boy in traditional dress...and then there's the twist. Great job!

Wonderfully creative! At first glance I saw a beautiful African boy in traditional dress...then the Sushi snuck up on me. You have such strong drawing skills. I'm so glad you made it in time for the finish line because your pieces are always so imaginative.

I love how you always seem to incorporate that adorable son of yours in the challenges. That's a challenge unto itself!

What would we do without your wonderful twists. Keep 'em coming. Love it as always.

Rushed or not rushed, this is a great piece...one of my top 5 faves in this challenge. As always, Adebanji, you have given it the "crowning touch" and Josh fills the regal roll(role) well.
