Travis, 16" x 12", Oil on Board, 2016 (Commission)
This is a commission completed recently. It's the beloved dog of one of my greatest collectors in Spain. I went into a little bit more detail with this piece.

Two Portrait Commissions (S.Boys)

The Amazonian Adventure (S.Boys), 30" x 24", Oil on Canvas, 2016
These are 2 commissions that I completed recently for the lovely parents of these two boys.
I really enjoyed the whole process and I thought it would be worth sharing the finished result of both.

SPECIAL QUOTE: "Portraits are very demanding and I feel it's a great adventure to get along with a client from the beginning of a commission to the end. After it all, a great affinity and relationship is formed that goes beyond the picture."-Adebanji Alade

Plein air Painting at Westfield Park, Chelsea...

It was such a great feeling yesterday when the first rays of the spring sun came up!!

I raced out of the studio to capture the feeling of the warm springlight.

I was so thrilled to go out that I forgot my paints the first time, I had to run back and tell a stranger to stay looking at my set up!

When I finally got down to business it was such a great relief to be painting outdoor again! And now it can only get better!

These are some of the pictures:

"It doesn't really matter how long we look at something or someone, it won't make much difference or effect on us as artists, if we don't sketch it out or draw it or best of all paint it. Sketch, Draw and Paint to solve problems around you."- Adebanji Alade

Street Side Market, Lagos I, Oil on Board, 10" x 8"

This is another painting from my trip to Nigeria.

While at Lagos, most of the sub-urban streets all have sales people who sell whatever they can to keep body and soul together.

I just love the colours! It's what makes painting Nigerian scenes interesting!!

This was a street Side Market in Lagos where plantains are being sold and green leaf vegetables.

There is so much to paint in Nigeria, going around was like a revelation, it was like I just got a new set of eyes!

Special Quote
"I'm willing to bet there are a lot of people you run into daily who don't even know you are an artist. If correct, you have to do something about it. If you want to be know as an artist, you have to tell people. And you start with everyone you know. Then, after all your current contacts know you are an artist, you have to get out there and meet more people."-Alyson B. Stanfield.

Crazy Rain & Reflections, City of London II, 8" x 8", Oil on Board

This is a little painting rain painting of London.

I love the reflections!

I love the buzz and the rush of the city!

People form all works of life, with umbrellas, determined to go into their offices for the start of a new day. They are soaked and cold in the London Rain!

The Iconic Red Bus splatters it's colours on the shiny pavements and there is a fair share of pollution in the air!

But I love it, so I paint it!

I have decided to bring the force of a "sketch" into it!

I worked on a small surface and it was tricky but in the end, I triumphed!

SPECIAL QUOTE
"Somebody needs to look at you and see who you really are, you are more than this, greater than this, don't define yourself because of your present circumstances...it doesn't work that way.

Vision is the most dominant force lacking in today's shortsighted society.

Don't be locked up in your past, step back and breath in and now walk into the calling that has been tugging at your heart since you were a baby. You are responsible and you are going to give an account if you remain there.

Don't live a phony, fake, delusional life, cease from yesterday, be a today person, this is it!" -Triple A .

Sleet & Grey Day, Greenwich, 15" x 8", Oil on Board

I love London when it rains!!

There's so much too see, the car lights reflect on the wet pavements creating nice warm reflections!

The skeletal trees peep through the atmosphere!

The people are all warmly clad with darks!

The wind blows and the sleet flows.

This is the London I love!!

So I paint these scenes with joy!!
