Do they notice you looking at them? I wonder about this with some photographers, too. I have never been stealthy enough to do this without being completely obvious! I'm impressed.

Thanks Shones, yes they do! Because I really do look at them, but I wink, give them a calming relaxed smile and that helps them know, all is well, I show them what I am doing and I cannot tell you the number of times I have ended up sending these images via e-mail to the people I sketched at the their request.

It's different from photography-photography has been abused, and this is what out society is like now. But it remains a different thing when the artist records from life, people are fascinated, they want to know how and why-and we are here to educate them. There's is nothing as liberating and enjoyable as working from life!

Very beautiful sketches, all of them! You really think a lot about your art. I am sure all of them must be so happy to receive their sketches on email. I have done this once in a while, especially on buses.
I feel so inspired on seeing your work.
Thanks.

Haha, reading about how you handle that made me happy for some reason!

By the way, I never saw you post any link to any of the actual material inside your DVD - just the trailer. Have you gotten that material yet, or did I miss it?

Thanks Vinayak!

Thanks Oliver, About the DVD- what do you mean by material? Please shed some light and I'll be able to help.

Oh! Sorry for being unclear. I once got the impression that you'd post a short excerpt from your impressionist painting DVD, as opposed to the trailer material you did post. I was looking forward to it since I'd use it to decide whether I want to buy the DVD or not!

Did I misunderstand you, and if so do you want to post an excerpt anyway?

Thanks Oliver, that's a bit clearer now. I don't think I promised to put an excerpt out. But you can see all the links to the DVD on my blog and on the Townhouse Films website and blog- http://townhousefilms.blogspot.com/2010/11/adebanjis-new-acrylic-dvd-is-out-on.html
Check this link-it maybe what you are looking for- -you can see one of the paintings as it develops from stage to stage. Hope this helps.

Hi, I really like your drawing style. Have you seen Dryden Goodwin by the way? My question is on the two Asian women on opposite pages. Is there a story there? Are they related perhaps or anything? Thanks - Ash
